The Patagonia Women's R1® Fleece Jacket is a lightweight, packable midlayer engineered for cool-weather performance in the mountains and beyond. Built around Polartec® Power Grid® technology, this technical fleece delivers an exceptional balance of warmth, breathability, and stretch, making it a true all-around performer for active pursuits.
The jacket features a hybrid construction that pairs Polartec® Power Grid® fabric with Capilene® Thermal Weight baselayer fabric, reducing bulk while concentrating warmth where you need it most — around your core. Strategic paneling along the inner arm, side panels, and lower sleeves enhances underarm breathability and vents excess heat during high-output activity. The hybridized fabrics also provide outstanding stretch and range of motion, especially when reaching overhead.
Designed with pack and harness compatibility in mind, offset shoulder seams ensure all-day comfort under a backpack, while zippered chest and front pockets with air-permeable mesh bags stay clear of a harness or pack waistbelt. Two interior drop-in mesh pockets keep small essentials secure. The slim fit, low-profile cuffs, center-front zipper, and chin zipper garage all contribute to a clean, next-to-skin-friendly design that layers effortlessly.
Crafted in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory in Colombia, the R1® Jacket is made primarily from recycled polyester, reflecting Patagonia's commitment to responsible manufacturing. At just 284 g (10 oz), it's a highly packable layer that punches well above its weight in versatility.
